My preferred teaching style was quadrant 3 and my least preferred quadrant was 4. Many of the characteristics of the quadrant 3 teacher applied to me. However, there were two items that did not apply. I do not believe I am inflexible, nor would my colleagues or students describe me as such. Additionally, I am known as a team player. I am interesting to know what the other teaching quadrants embody because I am certain there are aspects from each one that I can implement in my instruction style.
Based on the assessment, I am a type one teacher. I am interested in facilitating individual growth for my learners. Most of the time, my ultimate goal is to build relationships among learners/ colleagues to ensure harmony and productive environment. I focus on building self-awareness and connections between the learners and their learned material. I believe in supporting other and helping them enhance their personal insights. I prefer to provide student with opportunities to work in cooperative groups. I design learning activities based on meaningful goals. I need not to be fearful and take risk.
